What we offer

The programme offers a comprehensive range of activities and learning, all related to maintaining physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Diet & Nutrition – Nutritional experts provide advice on how to choose and cook food to improve mental, emotional and physical health.
  • Physical activities – Helping to boost self-esteem, mood, energy levels and sleep quality, as well as alleviate stress and feelings of depression.
  • Employment training – Work coaches assist with cv writing, interview skills, job searches etc. to gain confidence and find employment. 
  • Mindful practises - Yoga, meditation, and other holistic practises to relieve anxiety, depression and overwhelm.
  • Individual counselling – One on one therapy to manage and change negative behaviours, learn coping strategies, build self-worth, and process past trauma.
  • Social activities – Cultural events, arts and crafts and social outings to promote human connection and build friendships.

What we aim to achieve

The Health and Wellbeing programme aims to improve the overall health and wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis. We want to help our clients discover their self-worth and believe in a better life. We aim to build confidence, life skills, meaningful friendships, healthier lifestyles, potential employment opportunities and so much more. The services we offer in this programme will also help to prevent relapse, escalation of mental health issues and support independence.

Who can access the programme?

The programme is open to all adults above 18 years of age who are residents of Merton, Sutton, Wandsworth, Kingston, or Richmond. The programme is fully inclusive regarding gender, sexuality, and ethnicity. We also ensure the programme is wheelchair accessible.

How can the programme be accessed?

Anyone who wishes to join this program can contact us by email at info@cdars.org.uk

A member of the Health and Wellbeing team will book an appointment with you for a short preliminary assessment.

What happens at the assessment appointment?

Before you can use our services, you must attend an initial appointment (often known as an ‘assessment’). Assessments can be done either face to face, or over the phone.  A member of the Health and Wellbeing team will ask you some questions to gain an understanding of your current circumstances and needs, to identify how best to support your wellbeing journey.

Do I have to attend the programme in person?

The Health and Wellbeing activities we offer are delivered both face-to-face and online via WhatsApp and Zoom platforms.

Can I access the programme if I am experiencing a mental health crisis?

If you are in crisis please attend the Sunshine Recovery Café, you will be referred to our programme once you feel more stable.
